Block Coordinator Program
At the end of 2017, the CJCA initiated a block coordinator program to increase communication, feedback, and community cohesion. Cabin John has been divided into 31 “blocks” and volunteer coordinators are being recruited for each area. The responsibilities of block coordinators include:
- Identify, welcome, and deliver welcome bags to new families;
- Share information about CJCA events and activities, including the Neighbor-2-Neighbor program;
- Relay neighborhood concerns, news, and ideas back to the CJCA so they can be incorporated into the newsletter or monthly meetings
If you’re interested in volunteering to be a block coordinator, please contact Nancy Russell.
The list below shows the geographic area of each block, the current volunteer coordinators, their contact information, and the estimated number of houses in each block.
