Get ready for an afternoon of great food, live music, and community fun! The 2025 Cabin John Chicken & Crab Feast will be held on Saturday, September 13, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM — and you won’t want to miss it.
Feast on steamed crabs, grilled chicken with a secret-recipe rub, fresh, perfectly cooked vegetables, homemade baked beans, and more — all prepared and served by your Cabin John neighbors.
Festivities kick off at 2:00, with the DC Starlight Orchestra—featuring CJCA Co-President Scott Lewis—taking the stage shortly after. The event runs until 6:00 PM, offering plenty of time to eat, mingle, and enjoy the music.
The Chicken & Crab Feast is Cabin John’s largest community gathering, drawing more than 600 residents and friends each year. It also serves as a key fundraiser for the Cabin John Citizens’ Association.
There will be games and activities for kids, run by the friendly staff of the Clara Barton Neighborhood Recreation Center.
Volunteers Needed!
It takes over 150 people to plan, prep, serve, and clean up the Crab Feast every year. Ask anyone who has worked the Crab Feast and they will confirm it is really fun volunteering for an hour or two. You’ll never regret getting to know your neighbors a little better and getting that warm feeling from knowing you’ve done your part.
