Welcome to a new program year for the Cabin John Citizens Association. We have a number of interesting meetings and activities planned for this coming year.
The CJCA Officers elected at the May meeting to serve for 2025-2026 are:

· Vice Presidents – Marcy Harrison and Pete Couste
· Secretary – Kelly Banuls
· Treasurer – Gilbert Schwartz (to be formally elected in September)
We would like to thank Bob Walsh for his service to the CJCA as CJCA treasurer and Charlotte Troup Leighton for her years of service as a vice-president leading CJCA’s advocacy agenda. Much appreciation to you both!
Our first CJCA meeting of the program year is Wednesday, September 24 at 7:30 pm at the CBNRC. Clive Harris will discuss birds we can expect to see during the coming winter months, some of which will have migrated long distances. He is an enthusiastic birder and a former president of the Montgomery Bird Club, a chapter of the Maryland Ornithological Society, as well as a former member of the Maryland-DC Bird Records Committee. He will illustrate the talk with some of his photos.
