The January Cabin John Citizens Association (CJCA) meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the Clara Barton Neighborhood Recreation Center (CBNRC) and virtually via meet.google.com/kyk-dcmq-ybt.
The primary topic of this meeting is “A Citizen’s Guide to Planning and Zoning“. We will convene a panel discussion to discuss the role of zoning in residential development, key participants, tools and documents, the process and appeals, citizen engagement, and challenges and controversies. We will also review November’s meeting minutes and discuss upcoming CJCA events including the Trivia Night and the House Tour.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend and/or help volunteer as a house monitor that day. Stay tuned for more details next month!
New print version of the CJ Neighborhood Directory coming in 2025!
CJCA will publish an updated Neighborhood Directory this fall. Between now and May we will ask residents to submit updated or new contact information for each household. There will be multiple ways to do this, via online and paper submissions. You will also be able to choose what information you want published in the online version of the directory.
Paper submission: In the 2025 annual CJCA dues letter there will be a directory contact information form. You can mail it to CJCA along with your dues payment.
Electronic: There will be a link to submit contact information along with electronic dues payments via Cheddar Up. Alternatively, you can submit contact information on the form on CJCA’s website (www.cabinjohn.org)/Get Connected/CJ Directory.
Local Talent: We will again include a section in the directory where neighbors can share the services they provide, e.g. artists, health and wellness services, musicians, notary public… To be included in the Local Talent list, submit a short description of your talent along with your name, title, phone and email address to CJDirectory2020@gmail.com.
