Next CJCA Meeting: Pedestrian Safety and Local Artists’ Talk (Remote attendance is an option)

CJCA September 28 Meeting – 7:30pm

Clara Barton Community Center

The September CJCA meeting will feature a variety of topics, including:

  1. Crab Feast recap – We will provide a summary with the “numbers” and a facilitate a quick conversation on how the event went.
  2. Pedestrian Safety – Charlotte Troup Leighton, CJCA VP for Advocacy will present ongoing efforts of the CJCA in advocating pedestrian safety and provide tips for residents who wish to advocate for safety on their streets. 
  3. Update on the Cabin John Directory – Marcy Harrison, CJCA VP Communications, will reintroduce the option of online access.
  4. Trudy and Mike Nicholson – We will host an interview and art display with two of Cabin John’s talented local artists. Trudy (illustrator for The Village News’ nature column) and Mike will talk about their long residency in Cabin John and share some of their drawings and photography.

We will also honor Susan Shipp, our retiring CJCA President, and thank her for the wealth of new ideas she brought to our community and her untiring support.
