Neighbors Ready to Assist CJ Residents Impacted by Coronavirus Crisis

With the coronavirus disrupting daily life as we know it, the coordinators of Cabin John’s Neighbor 2 Neighbor program want to remind everyone that CJ residents are ready to provide assistance during this time of “social distancing” and the need to avoid public transportation, crowded areas and other potentially unhealthy situations.

The Neighbor 2 Neighbor (N2N) volunteers are available to help with grocery shopping, drug store runs, rides to doctors’ appointments, meal preparation, errands and other activities.  Other assistance provided by N2N volunteers includes pet visits, yard work, simple household jobs and help with bill paying, tax documents and other paperwork.

During this difficult time, it maybe hard for your usual support network of friends, family and hired help to assist you when you need it. Please don’t hesitate to contact Neighbor 2 Neighbor for help.

N2N coordinators can be reached by calling 301-799-4550 or emailing 4cjn2n@gmail.com.

You can also find out more about the program, request assistance, and sign up to volunteer, by filling out this online form.

If you are interested in being part of the N2N volunteer network, please reach out to the N2N coordinators using the contact information provided above.

Be safe,

Judith Bell, Alissa Fox, Bob Norris and Nancy Russell
