Sounds of holiday cheer rang out from the community center Dec. 16 as a good crowd came together for the annual holiday party. Friends gathering made for plenty of conversation, a sing-a-long provided music, and the raffle of gifts from local merchants led to much applause.
But the sound that caused a fever pitch amongst the children was the Cabin John Volunteer Fire Dept. fire engine arriving on the playground with lights flashing and music blaring to deliver Santa to the party.
Santa handed out gift bags to dozens of children and posed for pictures with young and “old” alike.
Tom Wilmarth handled raffle ticket sales.
Liz Clark, Lori Rieckelman and Ruth Rabner collected angel tree donations for children in need.
CJCA President Burr Gray led the sing-a-long with Susan Roberts providing piano accompaniment.
