More than 200 children and adults made their way through the annual Haunted House, held at the Clara Barton community center on Oct. 28. Along the way, participants met a cackling witch, artfully played by Missy Bell, working on her potions and had their fortunes told by Caroline Casey, with Jan Iris-Smith providing helpful advice.
All the scares seem to whet participants’ appetites as some 15 pizzas and gallons of apple cider were given out to the crowd.
The event, free to the public, was organized by the Friends of the Clara Barton Community Center in conjunction with the county. Thanks to the community center staff for assisting with the setup and operations.
